Erev tov koolam!
Today was the ever-popular Yom Yisrael, where campers and counselors alike boarded an El-Al flight in the morning to spend the day in Israel! The avirah is truly different, with everyone wearing blue and white, and Israeli decorations and music everywhere; it really can’t be mistaken for any other camp day.
Our Israeli slichim planned a packed Yom Yisrael featuring Israeli cuisine (a shakshuka breakfast, schwarma lunch, and falafel dinner), and lots of super fun activities, including learning Israeli dances, making clay Hamsas, and writing letters to soldiers in the Israeli army.
To cap it all off we held a Tel Aviv style pool party after dinner with fresh fruit smoothies, a photo booth, and live music! It was such an awesome day overall!
Until next time,
Heydad Massad!
