Boker Tov koolam!
Yesterday was our first major program of the summer: Festival! The two teams were Festival Moozeeka (Music) and Festival Mada (Science). The campers all had a blast making their own costumes and songs for the parade, followed by an awesome talent show and the surprise Festival at the end of the night!
The Oolam was split into two halves: one for each Festival team. The counselors and Machshira worked tirelessly on the festival and everything turned out spectacular! This festival included karaoke, a swing, a merry-go-round, and a roller coaster.
Our Ma’alit campers also participated in the building of the festival by planning their own section with a Mutant Ninja Turtles theme. This marked the first time the Ma’alit campers painted and built on their own for a program. Heydad Ma’alit!
Festival is really such a great program, it’s our only one with no competition! It’s always rewarding to see all of the counsellors and campers working together and trying out new things that they might not normally do in a competitive program. For pictures of Festival, please check out the Camp Massad Manitoba Facebook page.
Until next time, Heydad!
